Jaguar Capital Advisors is a late-stage venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California. The firm takes $15-$20 million in positions in fast-growing tech companies expected to deliver a 2-3x return with limited downside risk within 24-36 months of anticipated liquidity events. Jaguar Capital Advisors was founded by established legal, finance, and compliance professionals with deep roots in the digital economy.

We are looking for a smart and high energy person to join the team as an Executive Assistant. This person will work directly with the firm's Managing Partners on various administrative tasks and daily operations. 

The team is quite small and currently consists of only 2 people - Rostislav and Julian, that's why they're looking for another person to help them. Despite the seriousness of the venture capital industry, Rostislav and Julian are not fans of bureaucracy and formalism, they love straightforwardness and a good sense of humor. Also, they both speak Russian but expect you to have excellent skills in English.

  • Rostislav Shorgin - Stanford graduate (top 10% of the class) majoring in Business Administration and the first founder of Jaguar Capital Advisors. A business leader with a strong entrepreneurial, technology profile, and more than 10 years of experience in the technology business. Rostislav was a Product Marketing Director at Yandex (2009-2014) and led international teams defining product and marketing strategies in various markets.
  • Julian Zegelman is the second founder of the perpetual Fund. Even though Julian is a graduate of the University of San Diego with a degree in Biochemistry, as well as the University of Minnesota Law school, Julian is well versed in investment issues. Previously he served as a Founding Partner at TMT Investments Fund II, a $100M Series A focused VC fund. He's interested in investing in SaaS, AI, digital health, enterprise software, and cloud.

What will you do?

Marketing and communications:

  • Supporting communications with existing and prospective investors;
  • Running marketing campaigns and managing a CRM system;
  • Preparing and updating communication materials (presentations, letters, brochures, etc.).

Operations:

  • Supporting investment deal preparation and closing process;
  • Managing communication and document flow with service providers;
  • Scheduling meetings and calls;
  • Support managing partners in arranging travel plans and personal events.

  • Fluent English - both written and verbal;

  • Experience in using modern software solutions – from productivity to marketing automation tools;

  • Attention to details - you check every comma in the documents and every number in the invoices (by the way, as the second sentence in your cover letter please mention what your favorite season of the year is);

  • Ability to perform different tasks - from simple 10-minute coordination assignments to much more complicated missions;

  • Result-orientation - If the key cannot open the lock, you are expected to find another key, another lock, or dynamite;

  • Ability to adjust to the PST time zone - we don't expect you to work at night, but in general, your work day will likely be shifted towards the evening (ideally, if you can divide 8 hours into 2 blocks of work - for example, from 11:00 to 15:00, from 7:00 to 11:00, or 16:00 to 23:00, Moscow time);

  • Ability to ask questions - it is better to ask once and get an answer than to postpone the delivery of work for 2 hours due to ignorance;

  • Positive attitude towards life and people, and challenges that the former two bring to you.


Not necessary but will be a plus

  • Technical degree - in Mathematics, Computer Science, Mathematical Finance or Physics;

  • Study or work experience in the US or Europe;

  • Knowledge of the second language (Spanish, German, French, Chinese, or any other language).
